Program of Projects
Under 49 U.S. C 5307(b) and as a direct recipient of FTA Section 5307 funding, the Ames Transit Agency (CyRide) shall annually develop a Program of Projects (POP) and make it available for public review detailing the project purpose and the available funding requested for these grant applications. Each proposed POP was developed in consultation with interested parties, including private transportation providers and human service organizations through the Passenger Transportation Plan (PTP) planning process.
Public Hearing Notice
Ames Transit Agency (CyRide) is holding a public hearing at CyRide, 601 N. University Blvd., Ames, Iowa 50010, at 10:00 a.m. CDT on Monday, June 17, 2024. The purpose of this hearing is to discuss grant applications from CyRide to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) under the Section 5307 Program, and Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) Programs authorized through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
View the draft FFY2025 POP which has the available funding and descriptions of the projects available. All comments on these projects are welcome and should be submitted to CyRide by 10:00 a.m. CDT by June 17, 2024. Comments on these projects may be provided in person at the public hearing or directly to Shari Atwood, Transit Planner, at shari.atwood@cyride.com or (515) 239-5539. Comments will be considered in the development of the final program of projects. However, if no comments are received, this draft POP will be considered final and will be posted below.
